OEHL Playoff 2026 Format:
- Each team shall be seeded within their division based on regular season standings
- Teams finishing 1st through 7th shall automatically qualify for the “AA” Playoffs
- 8th and 9th placed teams in each division shall play a best-of-3 qualifying series. This series must be played in one weekend. Winning team advances as 8th seed.
- Each division will have three-round playoff in 1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7, etc. format, all best-of-7, re-seeding after each round.
- Division champions will then face each other in best-of-7 championship series for J.F. Paxton Trophy
McLean Trophy Playoffs:
The Sr. “A” McLean Trophy playoffs will not be conducted in 2026. Its status will be reviewed prior to 2026-27 season.
2026 Allan Cup:
Due to length of OEHL playoffs, OEHL teams have opted not to challenge the ACHL champion and will not participate in 2026 Allan Cup.
Discussions are ongoing regarding 2027 Allan Cup participation.
